From
the very beginning the goal of EE RANCHES was to assemble
one of the best cutting horse bred broodmare bands in America.
Each mare purchased was selected based on her Pedigree,
Personal Performance Record, and/or Production Record.
The MAGNIFICENT SEVEN
The Seven Foundation Broodmares purchased during the 1980's
were:
MISS DOC O LENA (deceased; Doc O'Lena x Short Paula
x Short Cut 3).
GRULLA SAN (deceased: Leo San x Blackburn 36
x Poco Nino).
FRECKLES AGLOW (deceased; Freckles Playboy x Wendy
Fay x Fay, Jr.).
SAN JOSE HICKORY (Doc's Hickory x San Jose Belle
x Jose Uno).
PEPSIE PLAYGIRL (Freckles Playboy x Lenaette
x Doc O'Lena).
PLAY SATIN BEAUTY (deceased:Freckles Playboy x Satin
Beauty Bars x Three Bars).
LANEY
DOC, the reigning matriarch of EE Ranches. One of the
greatest performers of her time and now one of the greatest
broodmares in cutting horse history.
"#4 greatest producing mare of all time!"
These seven mares over their lifetime have thus far produced
47 performers who have won collectively over $2,236,160.00
(two million, two hundred plus dollars and still counting).
The top 8 of these colts have averaged over $172,000.00.
The top 11 of these colts have averaged over $150,000.00.
All 47 of these colts have averaged $47,578.00.
Three of the Magnificent Seven are still producing and are joined in the
broodmare band by their daughters. The Elite Broodmare Band @ EE Ranches
now numbers 31.
